Therapy for Therapists
Therapists are people, too!
We spend so much time being there for others—holding space, teaching skills, being present for someone else’s journey. At the end of the day, we’re too burned out to hold any space for ourselves.
Why are we always last on our own lists?
We need the space to let go of being ‘competent’ and be ourselves, warts and all. It can be such a relief to let everything out—our frustrations with ourselves, our people, our clients. Such a relief to not have all the answers. To be held in the way you hold your own clients day after day. After all, you have your own stuff to deal with, maybe even your own traumas that need some space of their own.
